1. The Short Version

Local Flow does not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or marketing pixels. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session-replay tool, and no data broker in the app.

What we store on your device is what the app needs to work: your signed-in session, a few preferences, and — if you use Offline Mode — a copy of your own data so the app keeps working without signal.

This Notice explains that in detail. It is part of the Privacy Policy.

2. What These Technologies Are

“Cookies and similar technologies” covers cookies, browser local storage, IndexedDB, device identifiers, and software development kits. They all do the same basic thing: store a small amount of information on your device so it can be read again later.

3. What Local Flow Actually Uses

PurposeWhat it doesCan you turn it off?
Authentication and session Keeps you signed in, holds your session token, and supports Remember Me and Face ID enrollment state on that device. Not while using the app — without it you would be signed out on every screen. Signing out clears it.
Security Detects unusual session activity and protects against unauthorized access. No. This is what keeps the account safe.
Preferences Remembers small choices so the app opens where you left it — which tab you had open, filter selections, and a plan selection carried through checkout. Yes, by clearing site data. The app still works; it just forgets those choices.
Offline Mode Stores a working copy of your own business data in the browser database so the app keeps functioning without a connection, and queues changes to sync later — see Section 6. Yes, by turning Offline Mode off in Settings.

All of these are first-party: set by Local Flow, read only by Local Flow.

4. What We Do Not Use

Stated plainly, because a notice that lists every category a company might use tells you nothing:

Because there is no advertising or analytics tracking to consent to, there is no cookie consent banner. If that ever changes, we will add one before the change takes effect, not after.

5. Third Parties That May Set Their Own

A few third parties are involved in making the app work, and they may set their own storage under their own policies:

These are functional. None of them is there to advertise to you.

6. Offline Mode and Device Storage

If you enable Offline Mode, Local Flow stores a copy of your business data in your browser or device database so you can keep working in a basement, a crawl space, or anywhere without signal. Changes you make are queued and sync when you reconnect.

This means real customer information is stored on that device. Treat the device accordingly: use a screen lock, do not enable Offline Mode on a shared or public computer, and sign out on a device you no longer control. Signing out and turning Offline Mode off clears the stored copy.

7. Your Choices

8. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We honor Global Privacy Control signals. In practice there is nothing for one to switch off here, because we do not sell or share personal information or run advertising trackers — but we treat the signal as a valid opt-out request rather than ignoring it, and we do not treat a browser sending one any differently.

There is no agreed standard for “Do Not Track,” and we do not respond to it separately from the above. An earlier version of this Notice said our handling “will be described in the final published notice.” That placeholder is now answered.

9. Updates

We will update this Notice if our tools change. If we ever add analytics or advertising technology, we will update this Notice and provide a consent mechanism before turning it on.
