Some businesses that use Local Flow offer their customers the option to finance a job through an outside finance company — for example Synchrony, GreenSky, Service Finance, or another provider the business has its own agreement with.
This policy explains what Local Flow does and does not do when a business uses those features, and it applies to the business using Local Flow, to that business's customers, and to anyone reviewing how Local Flow handles financing.
Local Flow does not provide financing. Local Flow is software. It is not a lender, not a creditor, not a loan broker, not a credit services organization, and not a servicer.
Any financing is provided solely by the third-party finance company the business has chosen and contracted with. Local Flow is not a party to that credit agreement, holds no interest in it, and has no obligations or liability to the business or to the business's customers arising from it.
Local Flow never lends money, never extends credit, never holds loan paper, never takes an ownership position in a loan, and never receives or disburses loan funds.
Local Flow receives no money from any finance company in connection with any application, approval, or loan. That includes commissions, referral fees, finder's fees, origination fees, revenue share, volume bonuses, marketing payments, and any other compensation of any kind, whether paid directly or indirectly.
Local Flow also takes no percentage of any financed amount, and no percentage of any fee a finance company charges a business.
Local Flow's only revenue from a business is that business's own Local Flow subscription, described in the Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
The business selects its own finance company and enters into its own agreement with that company directly. Local Flow does not select, introduce, endorse, recommend, rank, rate, or steer anyone toward any finance company, and does not present one as better than another.
Local Flow does not verify a finance company's licensing, terms, pricing, or conduct. Those are matters between the business, the finance company, and the applicable regulators.
Where a business has set up financing, Local Flow can show the customer the business's own financing information and provide a link to the finance company.
The customer completes the application themselves, directly with the finance company, on that company's own website or system. The application does not happen inside Local Flow.
To keep that boundary clear:
Local Flow does not make, influence, review, or participate in any credit decision. Approval, denial, credit limits, interest rates, promotional terms, repayment periods, and eligibility are determined solely by the finance company.
Local Flow does not receive a customer's credit report or credit score, and does not perform any credit check.
Two different kinds of document may be stored in a business's Local Flow account.
Storing a copy does not make Local Flow a party to the agreement. The agreement is between the customer and the finance company. Local Flow holds the copy as a record on the business's behalf and takes no action on it: it does not interpret it, enforce it, service it, collect on it, or share it with any finance company.
The original agreement, and the customer's own copy of it, come from the finance company. Local Flow's copy is not the official record of the agreement.
Financing documents can contain sensitive personal and financial information. They are treated accordingly:
A customer who wants a copy of their own agreement, or who wants it corrected, should contact the finance company, which holds the official record.
When a finance company pays a business for a financed job, the business may mark that invoice as paid in Local Flow and record which finance company was used. The invoice may then display, for example, "Paid · Synchrony."
That status means only that the business considers itself paid for that job. It is not a statement about the customer's loan, balance, payment history, or standing with the finance company, and Local Flow has no visibility into any of those.
A finance company may charge the business a dealer, merchant, or program fee. That arrangement is entirely between the business and the finance company.
Local Flow does not set, calculate, collect, receive, or take any share of that fee, and does not receive any part of any interest or finance charge paid by a customer.
A business that offers financing through its own finance company is responsible for its own compliance, including:
Local Flow does not supervise, approve, or audit any of this.
Local Flow does not generate, calculate, or display credit terms of its own. Where financing information appears in the app, it is the finance company's own material shown as the finance company provided it.
Advertising credit terms is regulated. A business that chooses to advertise financing terms is responsible for meeting the applicable requirements, including those under the federal Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z.
All servicing, billing, payment processing, collections, disputes, and complaints relating to a financing agreement are handled between the customer and the finance company.
Local Flow does not service loans, does not collect payments on a finance company's behalf, and cannot resolve a dispute about a financing agreement. Customers should contact their finance company directly.
Financing features are optional. A business does not have to use them, and Local Flow works fully without them.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue these features. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
Questions about this policy may be sent to Support@local-flow.app or Local-Flow App LLC, 14153 S Lasso CT, Draper, UT 84020.
Questions about a specific financing application, agreement, balance, or payment must go to the finance company, not to Local Flow.
